Enterprise, FL – February 4, 2020… The Supermodified Ultimate Pavement Racing Series, (SUPRS), completed the second night of the 2020 Florida Speedweeks and made up for a rough opener at New Smyrna on Monday, with a barn burner of a feature race that saw Speedyman take his TMS Wolfpack “Black Beauty” roadster to the top and pass Rob Warren for the win at Black Creek Raceway. After battling with the winner in a three-way battle royal that lasted the majority of the 25 lap main event, perennial Black Creek favorites, Warren and Bob Gangwer joined Speedyman on the podium for second and third respectively. Tipped Off While it’s not the first time a driver has used the second groove to do well at Black Creek Raceway, Speedyman's consistent ability to keep the car up there lap after lap while battling Warren for the lead was something new. “Well I got a hot tip from Grumpy, (a fellow competitor and NASCAR Heat aficionado), that the high side would be in,” the multi-time HeatFinder.net champion explained. “So I got it up to the top, I just had to try it.” Once Speedyman found his line, he refined it to perfection until he was able to keep his car side by side with Warren, providing the fans of the live Twitch broadcast a thrilling supermodified sim racing battle as they swapped the top spot several times. “We had an awesome battle up there, I think we were side by side most of the race. It was just a crazy tight race,” said Speedyman. Pleasurable Race The normally demure driver, who is no stranger to victory lane wherever he races, was noticeably happy and said, “It was a real pleasure racing with SUPRS again, this was a really good race.” He then added, “Thanks to Kevin, (Timmins, of Hairbag Studios and BreezeGraphics), for the video, and to Rob for 1st to Finish Race Servers and to Icings on Top.” Finally, the winner took a moment to remind fans that there’s plenty of life left in the NASCAR Heat sim racing platform. “If your looking for more (NASCAR) Heat action, come on over and check it out Heatfinder.net, we’ve got our new Cup seasons starting up this week, we’re racing NHRL trucks and we wrap up our Legends series with a triple header on Thursday,” he said. Supermodified, Modified Double-Header for Presidents' Day SUPRS next NASCAR Heat event is the Presidents' Day Special, February 18, 2020, at New Hampshire International Speedway. For the first time since 2009, the supermodifieds, and the mighty modifieds, share a double dip of excitement on the mile at New Hampshire International Speedway for the Presidents’ Day Special. Featuring the best drivers of The Mod Squad, HeatFinder.net, NHRL, and SUPRS, the Presidents’ Day Modified 75 race, using the TMS Super HEAT Modified Tour cars for NASCAR Heat, should be a thriller that's packed with talent. The supermodified portion of the event starts the night out at 7:15pm with Hot Laps and the 25 lap feature scheduled to the take the green flag at 8:10pm. Then the TMS Super HEAT Modified Tour hits the track at 8:45pm for a quick five minute Hot Lap session, followed by Time Trials at 8:55pm, and the SUPRS TMS Presidents' Day Modified 75 presented by HeatFinder.net feature at 9:05pm. Fans will be able to enjoy live streaming video of both divisions on the SUPRS Broadcasting Network and can tune in to SUPRS LIVE! and/or Twitch beginning at 8pm ET for all the action.
